C&J Stonemasonry had an existing website, plus a few micro-sites that their previous web company told them was good for targeted SEO. They found that the websites in their current states weren’t bringing in enough business, and they approached us to help them. While microsites used to be a good idea, they are now considered bad for SEO and because they both had the same content were actually harming the SEO for the main site.
“The working relationship we have developed with C&J over the years is what makes Holler Marketing different. We have essentially become part of their business, which is a great position to be in.”

What we did.
We started by undertaking a full review of the main website – including the Google rankings, meta data and the content, to give us a starting point and help us devise a strategy.
The first step was to make significant changes to the website, including the addition of ‘richer’ content to give the visitor a better experience. We carried out keyword research to ensure that relevant search terms were included in the text and meta details.
The second step was to implement link building with other websites and social media platforms, to increase their web presence. This has included guest blogs on industry websites, increasing their standing as experts in their field.
The final phase includes ongoing adjustments to the website, adding content to give the visitor a better experience, and to keep up with Google’s ever-changing requirements. In fact, we have just carried out a website refresh, giving it a bit of a facelift and improving visitor experience even more.
We have worked closely with the team at C&J and built a great relationship with them along the way. We have developed an in-depth understanding of their business, their clients and their goals for the business, which has helped us create a bespoke SEO plan that has seen their workload increase hugely over the years.
We regularly monitor the progress through Analytics, analysing the visitor numbers and how they interact with the website, and making appropriate adjustments to ensure that the figures continue to improve.
They have gone from virtually no website traffic to getting the majority of their work through it.
